Kitchen Island Timber Slat Modification (Cabinet Maker/Carpenter) Hi, I’m looking for an experienced cabinet maker or carpenter to modify the decorative timber slatted surround on my kitchen island. The current curved front projects too far, preventing chairs from tucking underneath comfortably and reducing legroom. It also makes it more difficult to clean inside the open shelf. I’d like the decorative slatted surround to be modified so the front is flat or has a much gentler curve, while keeping the stone benchtop and existing internal support structure unchanged. If possible, I’d like to reuse the existing timber from any slats or curved rail that are removed so the finished result matches the existing timber as closely as possible.

I need an experienced handyman/carpenter. Please read the following job description before replying: built-in joinery removal, kitchen cabinet modification, construction of an MDF bulkhead/infill, and make-good of affected surfaces. Including a bit of timber replacement for the doorway frame when book shelves are removed - see photo. To be done early August or first week of August in Elwood latest. Should take 6-8 hours to complete: 1. Lounge: neatly remove wooden shelves from lounge room around fireplace (see attached photo). No need for electrical re-wiring 2. Kitchen: neatly remove wooden shelving on Kitchen splashback (see attached photo of the kitchen that needs work including a sample photo) 3. Install bulkhead above upper kitchen cupboards and you don't need to paint it and I can pay extra for MDF material (see attached photos). I have a solid timber buffet cabinet that is approximately 5–10 mm too wide to fit into an alcove in my apartment. The cabinet body fits—the issue is the decorative timber moulding around the base. I’ve already started removing part of the moulding (see photos), but the timber is much harder than expected and I’d rather have someone with the right tools finish it cleanly. I’m looking for someone experienced with woodworking/cabinetry who can: * carefully trim/remove the required section of decorative moulding * keep the visible cabinet looking neat * test-fit the cabinet into the alcove * stop once it slides in cleanly The cabinet does not need to be rebuilt or repaired—only the moulding needs trimming. Please bring your own tools (oscillating multi-tool, planer, router, chisels, etc.—whatever you think is most appropriate). I’d love this completed today or tomorrow if possible. Photos attached.

Carpentry works required to finish off house 1. Existing skirting to be installed - 25Lm to laundry, back door section and study. 2. Existing laundry door to be fitted with new screws. Hinges existing (May need adjusting as new flooring has been installed with floor prep 3. Rectify damaged weatherboards. Ideally and if it would look nice to cut and replace damaged sections to reduce cost (6Lm of actual damage) to LHS of property and (500mm of actual damage to) 1 section to RHS of property. If the entire length of weatherboard needs to be replaced then lengths amount to 33Lm. 4. Replace damaged plinth board to LHS of property - 9.5Lm All materials to be supplied by carpenter and happy to include in your cost.

Looking for an experienced handyman/carpenter to remove a built-in timber wall cabinet from the living room. Please note the cabinet is attached to a brick wall. I am expecting some patching and painting afterwards, but I would like removal to be as neat as possible. Please remove cabinet carefully to minimise damage to the brick wall and surrounding areas.
