I have an exterior timber door/gate where the bottom corner joint has separated and dropped, causing the bottom of the door to catch/drag on the ground when it swings. I need an experienced handyman/carpenter to repair and reinforce this lower corner so it is structurally sound and the door can swing freely without contacting the ground. Important: I am NOT asking for the door to be made to close into the surrounding frame. The timber has swollen/expanded considerably from weather/moisture and currently cannot safely be forced closed. Please do not plane, force, bend or otherwise modify the door simply to make it close unless discussed with me first. Forcing it closed could damage the frame/panels. The job is specifically to: * Lift/re-align the sagging bottom corner enough to restore clearance from the ground. * Pull/secure the separated bottom rail and vertical stile back into a structurally sound position. * Repair/reinforce the failed joint using an appropriate method — e.g. exterior wood adhesive, suitable exterior/structural screws, brackets/plates or other carpentry reinforcement as appropriate. * Deal appropriately with the small amount of damaged/weathered timber around the bottom of the joint if it affects the repair. * Ensure the repaired corner remains supported after the temporary prop/clamp is removed. * Test that the door swings open and back freely without scraping/catching on the ground. I can provide photos showing the separated joint and damaged corner. Success criteria: the lower corner is solid and reinforced, the sag/drop is substantially corrected, and the door swings freely. The door does not need to latch or close into the doorway. Please bring the appropriate clamps, drill/driver, exterior-rated fixings/adhesive and any other tools/materials required.

The handle stopped working (pulling handle down wouldn’t retract the latch). I’ve tried pulling apart, but it looks like the hex screw is too small or missing? Just need someone who knows what they’re doing to bring the right tools & fix the handle. I’m in a rental so don’t have much money

External timber front door is rubbing on the latch side and becoming difficult to close. Gap appears fine at the top and bottom, so unsure whether the issue is door swelling, hinge alignment, or a combination of both. Looking for someone to diagnose and rectify, which may involve hinge adjustment and/or planing/sanding the closing edge. Please also seal any exposed timber after adjustment.

I have an exterior timber laundry/back door where both the frame and the door leaf have gone out of alignment. The frame has sagged slightly on the latch side (evident by an uneven gap across the top head jamb). Needs to be re-secured/pulled back to square using long structural screws into the studs. The timber door leaf has a minor twist/bow, meaning it doesn't hit the door stops flush and the latch bolt isn't catching smoothly. The door will need to be taken off, planed down on the leading edge to clear the frame cleanly, and re-hung. Please bring a power planer, a long level, and necessary timber fasteners. (I will handle any painting/touch-ups myself later).

The handle of an edge door pull has broken. I need to replace the whole mechanism. The current mechanism is glued in place, into a solid wood frame. The current mechanism is a Delf edge door pull (see attached Bunnings image). The new mechanism needs to be at least as large as the Delf. Happy if it is something else (needs to be chrome/nickel).
