An awning might do the trick but it needs to be 2.4m wide and 4m long, to shade my car and be within Stirling council requirements. Attached to the side of our two story house, behind the gate in the picture. I guess some kind of cantilever design? The space is bituminized and ready to go, with lots of room to do the job. I'm not sure if a 2.4 awning span is possible?

I had posted this before, but thought I could do it myself. No luck. I have a Kings Awning with the required fixing brackets, I own a 2008 Prado with Heavy Duty roof racks. The brackets will need to be drilled in to the bottom section of the racks as I found out.
