Hi, looking for an experienced roof plumber / gutter specialist to inspect and service the gutters of a small single storey 3x1 brick house in Coolbellup (1970s build). I’ve noticed some rust stains and paint deterioration around gutter joints, so I would like someone to: Carry out the repair/cleaning works possible under initial agreed (pls confirm agreed scope) Inspect gutters and downpipes Check for leaks, rust, loose brackets, and blockages Confirm whether extra cleaning, resealing, repair or replacement is required Check general condition of gutters and fascia Provide a quote for recommended extra works if needed Photos attached for reference. As it was raining earlier today, I noticed some loud and rather rhythmic tapping on the ceiling above my tv room, and I suspect a roof tile must have either tilted or copped a storm damage, which lead to water leakage. Please examine the affected area and advice how to remedy this. $70 for the check or $120 should any work be carried out upon examination.

Hi Airtaskers, Without having gone up to the roof to examine, I suspect one or two roof tiles have tilted or maybe weather damage lead to cracks in a roof tile and let rain leak through into the insulation that’s sandwiched between the roof and ceiling. I can see dark mold forming on the ceiling because of this. To prevent the hazard of ceiling collapse, I’d like to have someone experienced in roof repairs to come and help us out before the problem worsens. Below is a sequence of steps we thought you may take to remedy the situation: 1. Go up onto the roof right above the affected area to examine where tiles might have tilted or gotten damaged. So it’d be great if you come with a ladder for this part. (We do have some spare roof tiles for replacement if need be) 2. Extract and dispose of any insulation foams that might have become drenched. 3. Apply casting plaster (we can supply this) to seal any roof tile that is identified to have tilted or likely to tilt under unfavourable weather again. 4. Remove mold on the ceiling. 5. Do a final inspection that covers all roof tiles and move the loosened ones back into place and apply casting plaster to fix them (probably only one or two but they love shifting over time which has become such annoyance!) You are welcome to offer your suggestions upon examining the roof.

My 1960s cottage in Coolbellup has a carport annexed with only three stabilizer poles. The one corner of the carport without a stabilizer pole appears to be annexed to the gutter/house. Over time, it looks as if the carport corner without a stabilizer pole has separated from the gutter, and the gutter has dropped. I am seeking a roof repairer or maintenance company to visually rectify the issue however that can be done (fastening the gutter for example or adding a pole for support, or removing the carport roof if necessary?!). I’m unsure on the budget to set so please ask any questions / requests which would assist to get this moving. - Due date: Before Friday, 30 September 2022
