You will need to remove a tin roof sheet to gain access due to small internal manhole and 15 foot ceilings. There is plenty of space in the ceiling cavity to stand up and move around.

Professional cleaning and sanitisation of the roof void — Evidence of a high rodent infestation has been identified, with rat faeces present throughout the entire roof void. A pest control tradesman has already went to the property and found no deceased rodent at the time of inspection. Full removal and replacement of existing insulation — The current insulation is contaminated due to rodent activity (rat faeces and urine) and requires removal and replacement. Please also advise if rodent baiting can be carried out as part of the scope of works, or whether this needs to be arranged separately.

We have insulation installed already, but I has been moved around over the years by tradies resulting in gaps in the insulation. We just need someone to get up in the roof space and tidy up the insulation so there are no gaps. If there are gaps that can’t be covered, we will have batts purchased from Bunnings ready to be put over the gaps. The existing insulation is batts, not blown-in stuff. The roof space area is approx 70m2, single story unit.

Looking for an experienced handyman or insulation installer to replace damaged ceiling gyprock and install foil insulation under the roof (as per attached photo). Scope of work: • Remove damaged ceiling gyprock • Supply and install new gyprock/plasterboard • Tape, set, and sand joints (ready for paint) • Install foil board / sarking insulation under roof rafters (like existing in photo) • Secure insulation neatly between timber framing • Re-inforce the rest of ceiling and set finish.
