Scope of work: * Before installing the insulation, thoroughly clean the wall cavities of dust, particles and residue from previous works. The areas must be clean and ready for insulation installation. * Install the insulation supplied by us for the 4 walls. * Install the insulation snugly from ceiling to floor, ensuring all appropriate areas are completely covered. * Insulation must be installed correctly without being compressed, squashed or tightly packed, as this can affect its performance. * Do not use or add excess insulation where it is not required. * Take care around existing electrical wiring, plumbing and other services to ensure nothing is damaged or disrupted during installation. * Carefully inspect the completed installation to ensure all areas are properly covered and there are no gaps or exposed sections. * Ensure the insulation is sitting correctly within the wall cavities before the walls are closed up. * Clean up the work area once finished and remove/dispose of any rubbish, offcuts, packaging or mess created during the job. We will supply the insulation. Please bring your own tools and include labour and rubbish disposal/clean-up in your quote. I’ve already installed over half the subfloor insulation in my home (134m2) and need someone to complete the job (approx 65m2). The product is a recycled polyester batt (soft, no itch, no PPE needed) that simply tucks up between the joists and staples into the timber, very straightforward once you’ve done a few. The work involves: • Cutting rolls to length (width is pre-sized, length cuts only) • Tucking batts snugly up under the floorboards • Stapling into timber joists to secure Important: There is fragile ducted heating pipework under the house. You’ll need to work carefully around this and not rush. This is the main requirement, someone methodical who won’t damage the ducting. It’s not difficult but it is a little tedious and dirty under there. All equipment is provided: • Knee pads • 2 x staple guns • Head torch • Scissors/blade for • Protective eyewear and mask (for dust) •I used a bike helmet to protect my head which you are welcome to use but if you have a hard hat that would be better.
