I need a 2x4 mounted onto my wall and then a small bike mount mounted to the 2x4. This mounted area will need to hold a 26kg bike that will need to withstand significant force as the bike will be pulled out of the mount, adding stress to the area each time the bike is removed. Where I need the bike mount installed, there are no studs and it is near the corner of a wall, which I think may be metal flashing (magnet sticks there), not wood. I can supply the wood (if needed) but I have not purchased the mounting material/screws as I’m unsure what would be needed. I would be very keen to have this happen today at anytime, however, I understand it is short notice for someone and is not today, I would need to defer to later in the week or weekend for me. *Update* I have added a picture w/notations on it of what I am referring to. Where it says “Metal?” Is where the magnet sticks. Where it says “Stud?” Is where is believe a stud is. The red “X” is the location where the bike mount would need to be The white line is what my thoughts were in relation to bringing a piece of wood across, joining to the metal and the stud. The bike mount could then be mounted to the wood, since there is no stud where I must mount the bike mount.

Proven professional gyprocker/plasterer to: 1. Gyprock sheet both sides of a sliding door cavity that has been removed and replaced with studs/noggins ready for sheeting. 2. A non-load bearing wall has been removed (4.5m wide *2.7m high) and gyprock sheet required to lhs and rhs and ceiling where wall removed, including adding cornice to both ceiling sides. 3. Replace gyprock sheets to several ceiling holes that were cut out as inspection ports prior to the wall being removed. Gyprock to be left to a very high standard ready for me to paint. Ignore the far wall in the photo with the insulation batts. That won’t be gyprocked as part of this work. Job can be done in 2 parts: Part 1 to be done ASAP sheet old sliding door cavity and lhs of wall where wall removed. To make way for cabinetry install along that wall. Part 2 : remainder of work over next 4 weeks.
