First, cut out and dispose of the ruined 30cm x 2m carpet strip along the wardrobe wall. Second, clean and spray the exposed subfloor, tack strip, and surrounding carpet backing with a professional antimicrobial or anti-mold treatment. Third, supply and patch-replace a matching 30cm x 2m strip using carpet seaming tape. Fourth, secure and tuck the carpet neatly back onto the tack strip and under the skirting board.
