Hi, we are renovating a Victorian terrace in Redfern and are looking for an experienced timber flooring professional to inspect the property and provide a quote for floorboard restoration. Scope of work Downstairs * Existing timber floorboards throughout the living/dining areas. * Assess condition and suitability for restoration. * Sand back professionally and prepare for a new finish. * Please quote for sanding/restoration separately from any finishing/coating. Upstairs * Three bedrooms are currently carpeted. * We have peeled back a small section of carpet and confirmed there are timber floorboards underneath. * We would like the carpet and underlay removed and the exposed timber floorboards assessed. * Quote to sand and restore the upstairs floorboards, subject to their condition. * Please allow for removal/disposal of carpet, underlay, carpet grippers and associated materials. Important The attached photo shows the condition of the upstairs floorboards underneath the carpet. We would like someone experienced with older Victorian terrace floorboards to assess whether they are suitable for sanding and what level of restoration would be required. Ideally, we would like: 1. Site inspection 2. Assessment of the upstairs and downstairs boards 3. I have some floor boards that previously became swollen during summer. Recently, one of the rows of floor boards popped out of the floor. They are now slightly too big to be put back into the floor and I think need to be cut down to size and then re-inserted. Would appreciate someone’s help with these.

I'm renovating my kitchen and need a small section of flooring installed once the existing kitchen island is removed. Looking for an experienced flooring installer/handyman. Approx. 4m² area where a kitchen island currently sits — once removed, this strip needs new flooring to match the surrounding floor. The concrete slab may need some minor resurfacing once the kitchen island is removed. I've already purchased the matching flooring and underlay (same product as what's currently installed). Existing floor will likely need part of the current layer lifted from one wall edge and relaid, so the new section blends in seamlessly. The space will be ready from Friday 18th July (1pm - 5pm), Saturday morning 19th July (8am - 1pm only), or all day Monday 20th July.

Looking for someone experienced in carpet repair to fix a small burnt patch on apartment carpet. Hi, I've got 5 lots of book cases with 6 shelves on each of them that need 3 coats of stain applied to each area and two coats of clear. Between each coat the timber needs to be sanded. Also, the whole area needs to be prepared, the screw holes patched, and everything taped so stain doesn't go on the paint. The timber is mostly ply with a hardwood capping. Also, there is a 1.5x1.5 area that needs to be painted cream, the same as the rest of the house. It was just rendered.

I have a 2 bedroom apartment that requires skirting boards installed throughout

Replace 2m of damaged floor board in our lounge room (see photos). The floor board is about 2m up to the tape in the photo (damage is only beyond the tape). We ideally do not want to re-finish the whole room as we do not have a place to store our furniture. We’d be looking to just have that single floor board finished as closely as possible to the rest of the room if possible.
