I am looking for help with the following woodwork restoration project. I have these 8 wooden legs (see picture) that have been out in his backyard for decades, but apart from some rot at the tops, they are in very good condition. I would like to have them resanded, and then glued into 2 decorative totems, 4 legs for each of the two totems. Hopefully lining up some of the circumferences on each so that they can join smoothly, and then using long metal dowels or similar to strengthen each join. Then maybe a white wash/stain finish to bring out the grain further. Thanks for your time!
