Looking for a competent and experienced handyman to install a new undermount rangehood into existing kitchen cabinetry. The existing opening is larger than the new rangehood, so the job will require some modification/engineering to the cabinetry to create a neat, secure fit and professional finish. Ideally looking for someone experienced with kitchen cabinetry and rangehood installations who can assess the best way to adapt the existing opening. Hi, I had an old ceramic cooktop that has cracked. It was connected via a rewirable plug into 25-amp socket. I've removed the old cooktop and unplugged it.  That 25A socket is on a circuit protected by a 32-amp fuse and also runs my oven which is plugged into its own socket. I'd like to replace the broken cooktop with a new induction unit, but the model I'm looking at is hardwired only. Im assuming the existing 32A circuit and existing 25A socket can be reused.

I need an old 60cm recirculating rangehood removed and a new Westinghouse WRF610SA (fixed, recirculating) rangehood installed in its place. Because the rangehood sits directly above an existing gas cooktop, the installation requires some minor carpentry modifications to meet the legal 650mm Australian gas safety clearance (AS/NZS 5601.1:2022) — the current clearance is only 585mm. The job involves: Removal: Disconnecting and removing the old 60cm rangehood (recirculating setup). Shelf Adjustment: The mini cupboard above has a horizontal width of 60cm and a depth of 30cm. The internal base shelf needs to be unscrewed and raised upward by roughly 8cm to 10cm, so the final clearance to the gas cooktop is at least 650mm (please confirm this measurement before final fixing). Door Trimming: The two mini cupboard doors will need 8cm to 10cm cleanly trimmed off the bottom edge to match the raised shelf. Important tool requirement: Because the kitchen cabinets are laminate over particleboard/chipboard, please use a clean-cutting circular saw or track saw with a fine-tooth blade to prevent the laminate edges from chipping or splintering. Mounting: Securing the new Westinghouse WRF610SA onto the newly adjusted shelf and setting it to internal recirculating mode (2 carbon filters). Note: The new unit is a standard plug-in unit (no hardwired electrical work needed) — it plugs into the existing power point.

Hello, we need a handyman to remove our old fixed Rangehood (pics attached) and install our new fixed Rangehood. We need you to have all the tools and brackets etc needed. We have the new Rangehood, and it is the exact same size as the old one. If you can take the old one with you that will be even better but not necessary. This needs to be done ON Thursday 13 August, not earlier or any other date. Preferably around 11am/12pm.
