Model: Samsung SR343LSTC Refrigerant: R-600a Problem: Freezer works fine, but the fridge section stops cooling. Visible ice buildup inside the fridge. Loud motor/fan noise. A full manual defrost fixed it but the problem came back within days. Since it re-ices so quickly, I suspect the defrost system has failed. Looking for someone who can diagnose and replace the fault defrost component.

The Samsung fridge (SR400LSTC)temperature is set all the way to the coldest but even then when I put a temperature sensor in the fridge I am getting the temperature in the 5-7 degrees range, which is not cold enough. The freezer section is working fine though.

I believe the unit is most likely a Samsung Family Hub French Door refrigerator (RF28/RF29 series), but I can confirm the exact model if needed. The issue began intermittently and, after repeated cancellations, the original error message is no longer appearing on the screen. However, the underlying issue persists: when the refrigerator doors are left open, the warning alarm no longer sounds after a few seconds as it normally should.
