Hi there, I’m looking for an experienced handyman / carpenter / metal worker to modify my existing aluminium/metal door frames in preparation for new doors being installed. Please note I’ve already started sanding back some of the paint and removed what I could, so the frames are partially prepped. Scope of work (4 door frames): • Remove existing welded hinges (cut/grind off) • Smooth and repair frame where hinges are removed • Prepare frames so new standard screw-in hinges can be installed (drill/tap or create suitable fixing points) • Sand, prime and repaint frames (paint supplied) Note- the front of the frames will be hidden by trim Important: Frames must be left ready for new hinges to be screwed in as I have doors being put in after Must be confident using a grinder and drilling into metal frames. Timing: Must be completed before 7th March Location: Balgowlah Photos attached. Open to best method recommendations.
