However, prior to replacement, removal of partially rotten wooden trim, including upright beams (jambs) and surrounding trim is required (refer yellow highlights). Wooden beams highlighted are 2m high, and provide structural support to cross-beam. Ideally, only highlighted areas will be replaced. Intact cross-beam (or header trim, green dots) currently support old garage doors. Old doors and mountings can be removed to make work easier. New work to be painted to match existing wood.
