Look for experienced handyman with to help reverse opening direction of two old bedroom doors. (I still want them opening in to the bedrooms, but want them hinged on the opposite side). Each door currently swings in the wrong direction for the room layout. The requirement is to re-hang both doors so they open in the opposite direction while maintaining a clean, finished appearance consistent with the rest of the house. Scope of work: • Removing each door from its current hinges • Reversing or replacing hinges as required • Relocating hinge rebates in the door jamb • Re-cutting latch and strike plate positions so doors close and latch correctly • Ensuring door alignment, clearances, and swing are correct and smooth • Making good any minor damage to the frame or door caused by the change (e.g. filling old hinge or strike recesses) Would prefer the work was done over the next few days.
