Following a recently completed loft conversion, we have a total of 84 square meters of ceiling in 4 rooms which need to be fitted with semi rigid rockwool insulation and plasterboard. The loft already has wooden partition framing installed. However, except for one room, the other rooms in the loft do not yet have plasterboard or semi-rigid rock wall installed. Insulation: Two layers of semi rigid rock wool to be fitted in between the loft roof joists, leaving an air gap above, with already fitted first fix electrical cables for lights to be left hanging through ready for plaster-boarding. The first layer is 100mm insulation and the second layer either 100mm or 50mm insulation. Insulation is compression fitted. Plaster-boarding: Single layer of 15mm fire board to be fitted to 84 sq meters of loft ceiling joists. Other details. There are no stairs. Access via a ladder only. Plasterboard and insulation already in loft. Plasterboard screws supplied. Floor to ceiling height is 2.4 meters high. A 40cm high hopper is onsite to stand on. 4 telescopic plasterboard jacks also onsite. Looking for fitting within next 10 days.

Need assistance in putting up conservatory roof insulation and cladding

We have sheets of celotex that require cutting and installing in the eves of our roof along with wool insulation in the floor

The existing insulation has been laid in such a way that it leaves gaps at the eaves. I think it needs relaying by turning through 90 degrees. Area involved about 20m2 .

Fitting of insulation under floor I'm crawl.space accessed via cellar. There is already some insulation but it has fallen so needs re-positioning, and I'm happy to supply additional insulation material.

Overflow from attic water tank soaked loft insulation above bedroom. One third of Ceiling is water stained. Insulation needs removing from area allowing ceiling to dry out before re-insulating and repainting ceiling.

We just done a loft conversion on our home and used the wrong insulation. Building controls wants us to change it to the correct insulation. We’re looking for a handyman. - Due date: Needs to be done on Saturday, 12 August 2023

We need tile vents installed in the roof, at the top of our loft to improve ventilation. We also need to replace all the insulation material, have the whole loft area boarded (currently some boarding there), and re-route the ventilation tube from the bathroom fan to push air outside and not into the loft space. I’ve put our budget as £5, it’s obviously not that! Please send a fair quote for the works. - ASAP is the preference, ideally within the next month.
