The shower is a concealed Pura thermostatic shower (photos attached). The main issue is faulty temperature control: the water only gets hot when turned fully to maximum, a very small adjustment makes it go from very hot to cold, and it takes a long time for hot water to come through. The rest of the temperature range does very little. Based on research, this appears most likely to be a failed or scaled thermostatic cartridge, or a temperature stop/calibration issue. The shower otherwise works and there are no leaks. If, once inspected, the cartridge is not the cause, I’m happy for you to advise on the next appropriate step without replacing the full concealed valve or removing tiles unless absolutely necessary.

Hi, I am looking to box in a boiler at my home in Egham (TW20 8TH). The job is slightly specific as I need an "L-shaped" enclosure rather than a full cupboard. The requirements are as follows: Dimensions: Approximately 120cm (H) x 60cm (W) x 30cm (D). Configuration: Front door panel and a Left-hand side panel. Accessibility: The Right-hand side must remain open to allow for existing pipework to run to the wall and for ventilation/access. Could you please let me know if you can assist with this? I would appreciate a rough estimate for labour and materials, and an idea of when you might be available to carry out the work. I am happy to send over a photo of the boiler and the surrounding pipework if that helps with the quote.

There is an issue with the heating in the main bedroom suspect that it’s to do with the thermostat but not sure. See attached image.

I have 4 jobs that need doing. A section of skirting board needs to be cut and fitted there are water pipes in that area, so it’s a bit tricky. I need some loft insulation installing in the eaves above one (3.6 x 3.6m) room. I’ve done all the rest but it’s quite small to get through to the other side around the chimney and low roof pitch so needs someone SLIM and doesn’t worry about claustrophobia or spiders :-) I’ve already cut the loft insulation and it’s up in the loft ready to go in place. I can pass the insulation through to the loft space for whomever does the work. An equivalent room with easy access took me about an hour to do.
