Unable to lock blind in position

A new bathroom has been fitted, but left a gap around the door, need to be filled, sealant around the toilet seat, screw up things loose, fir ikea shelf in the kitchen, it’s not a big job at all

I’m trying to setup a cinema room, I want walls and ceiling painted a charcoal colour, except front wall painted a slight off white. The blind in window is very stiff to move, its not the magnet which connects just fine. I'm no expert but i suspect its the internal cord
