4 metre high Persian blind (wooden) - raising and Lowering cord snapped on one side

I have a 2.5m diameter roller blind that I need installing in a bedroom window. It's been custom made to fit the space and came with the fittings. I have installed a smaller one in a side window (pictured) however, the walls around the larger 2.5m wide window are difficult to drill into and are rather crumbly in places. I need someone that's cleverer at DIY than myself to work out how to install it.

What we need: A secure and long-lasting fixing solution suitable for load-bearing shelves. Possible solutions (open to professional recommendation): 1. Drilling through the plasterboard and fixing directly into the brick wall using appropriate masonry fixings and longer screws. 2. Using specialist fixings designed for dot-and-dab walls (e.g. Corefix or similar systems) that bridge the gap and transfer load to the masonry. 3. Alternative mounting approach if needed (e.g. additional support brackets or reinforcement behind the plasterboard). Goal: Install three shelves securely so they can safely support books without movement or risk of failure. Please advise on the most appropriate method and carry out installation.

One cord on a window blind has broken. I have been sent a new cord. I need the old cord taken out and the new cord threaded in

Front door frame has been damaged around the lock/strike area (see photo). The timber is split and missing, so the door no longer locks securely. I cannot release the cord to enable the blind to come down. The cord is not tangled.
