I need an experienced, reliable handyman to overhaul my flat's outdoor patio. The patio is roughly 3m x 4m with a small walkway/steps. The framework underneath is fine, but the surface needs a complete cosmetic upgrade. What needs doing: 1 Fix the floor: Replace 1 broken decking board (see photos). You will need to cut out the broken section and securely screw down a new piece of matching timber so the floor is completely flat. 2 Wash: Thoroughly -wash the entire deck, steps, and the side wooden fence to remove all green algae, grime, and old finish. 3 Paint/Stain: Once fully dry, paint the entire deck, the steps, and the left-hand privacy fence with a dark slate grey/charcoal decking paint (like Ronseal or Cuprinol). It needs to look uniform and professional. 4 Clean up details: Unscrew a rusty metal bracket from the white door frame and clean off the orange rust stain underneath. Clean any dirt and grime off the white double doors/frames. Take down the loose wooden trellis at the back and clear it away. 5 Install Privacy Screen: Use heavy-duty black cable ties to neatly attach artificial boxwood/bamboo privacy screening (which I will provide) to the black metal railings.

A floor board has lifted, and we had a damp specialist come and confirmed it isn't swollen, rather it was laid poorly. We need it either fixed or replaced, along with some skirting boards reattached. We don't have any spare boards and will require you to sort that ideally.

Need to fix outdoor deck floor

I have a roof terrace 3m x 3m, which needs to be cleaned (removing some mould), then some small repairs (ie replacing some nails), then treating the deck ahead of summer.

I have an LVT click floor that was installed three months ago. The floor was not properly levelled. One of the floorboards has now cracked, and there are three small areas where the floor is particularly not level and I fear more cracking. I would like to, if I can, level these sections without changing the entire floor.

My floor was laid three months ago, but the ground wasn’t levelled properly first. This resulted in a small dent in the flooring in a main walking area. I need to do a temporary repair on 2 floorboards in my bathroom. I want to keep the original floorboards but they have a crack. The recommendation from the old owner - who is a builder but lives overseas, says to put a brace understand the floorboards to stablise them. He said should be relatively easy. I'm the owner of a second floor flat in Stoke Newington. I have an issue with some discolouration and raising of wood flooring near a balcony area (see pictures). This seems to be caused by some kind of water ingress from the outside balcony, possibly due to defective seal on the door. I need to understand what is causing the problem and a cost effective fix.
