Coffee machine repair, something stuck in grinder

Dfs electric recliner sofa gave out a small bang noise and then stopped working. At the same time it tripped off the main switch fuse. Upon flipping and checking the sofa, the mains wire to recliner had multiple cuts as sofa’s bracket sat on it for a while it appears. Now the recliner set (3-seater) stopped working, so not sure if the transformer or the motor has become faulty which needs checking and replacing if need be.
