This is purely the finishing stage, so attention to detail and a clean, consistent finish is key. Kitchen Cupboard & Worktop Painting – Colour Change. Expected to be 6-8 hours of total work. We’re looking for an experienced painter/decorator (ideally with kitchen cabinet experience) to refresh our kitchen units. Scope of works: Kitchen cupboards and drawer fronts are currently a blue/grey MDF (or similar composite wood). We would like all cupboard doors and drawer fronts professionally repainted to a new colour (paint will be provided). The worktop, which is currently brown/wood effect, also needs to be painted to a different colour (paint provided – please advise if a specific primer/sealer is required). All existing handles to be removed and painted black, and refitted after. Reinstall doors and ensure everything is aligned properly after refitting. Important: Proper preparation is essential (cleaning, degreasing, sanding, priming if needed). We’re looking for a durable, smooth finish suitable for a kitchen environment. Please advise what additional materials you may need (primer, sealant, sanding materials, protective sheets etc.). Care must be taken to protect flooring, appliances and surrounding areas. Would like walls painted (in a new-build so they are just white currently). Hallway will be 1 colour, the open-plan kitchen/living room will be two different colours. Minimal furniture to work around, can move what is there in advance and remove frame from walls. Will take curtains down in living room but need to paint around curtain tracks.
