I need a ceiling fan (3 blades. 132cm diameter. 4-5kg weight) installed in the centre of the room. The ceiling is a plasterboard with a concrete frame sitting 5-6 inches above the plasterboard, about 2cm thick. To make it stable, the fan must be fitted to support mounted to the concrete or the sides of the ceiling. This may require cutting out and making good access holes on the plastboard. Note that there is no wooden joist. Currently, there is no direct electricity supply to the ceiling so this would need to be wired up from one of the supplies on the wall (including installing a switch with a fuse for this circuit). Note there is a ventilation duct in the ceiling. We don't think it should be in the way of where the fan would go, but work would need to account for the ventilation duct.
