I have a Community fibre provided linksys router and I have added 3 linksys extenders to improve coverage across my 3 floor house. 2 of these 3 extenders have stopped working and just display redlights. I have used Community Fibre support to try resetting these but it has not worked. I bought a new base router (TP-link Archer550) but I cannot get this to register an internet signal from the Community Fibre modem and they have told me they cannot provide support on 3rd party equipment. I need help either getting the original equipment to work or with setting up the new TP-link router I have bought.

I’m looking for someone experienced with Ethernet / data cabling (Cat6) to help convert an existing wall socket into a working RJ45 Ethernet outlet. Context: This is a studio flat The building is already pre-wired with Cat6 Ethernet There is a central patch panel One wall socket currently has a phone-style faceplate, but there is a Cat6 cable behind it The cable simply needs to be correctly terminated and connected What I need done: Remove the existing phone-style faceplate Fit a Cat6 RJ45 Ethernet wall socket / faceplate Terminate the Cat6 cable properly Patch the corresponding port at the patch panel to my router Test the connection to confirm it’s working (basic network test is fine) Optional / nice to have (not essential): Advice or help adding a small Gigabit Ethernet switch if I want to run more than one wired device from the socket (e.g. Apple TV + laptop) Important: This is low-voltage data cabling, not general electrical work I’m specifically looking for someone comfortable with Ethernet termination, RJ45 keystones, and patch panels Please bring your own tools Happy to supply the faceplate if needed, or reimburse if you supply it If you’ve done structured cabling / network installs / AV or IT cabling before, this should be a quick, straightforward job.

Connect the Cat6 network cabling from the back of the house (in upstairs spare room) to the garden room which is approx 15m away. Already have the external cabling and the WiFi access point.

Hide cables in white conduits in 3 rooms to make them tidy looking.

I have set Virgin media hub in modem mode and attached external router but etherenet cable work only when plugged to router and not modem or switch. Used to Work well. Need an expert to look at it

I have started to network ethernet through the house for two locations upstairs, but fitting (pass-through) RJ45s is not working. I get green lights on the tester but computers don't see internet connection. I think it really needs 'pro level' tools to get the job done right.

I have a dedicated 'Protectli' micro computer with 4 ethernet ports running pfSense on FreeBSD and a Netgear GS748v5 vLAN-capable managed switch and a community fibre 1GB internet connection. I want someone familiar with advanced networking to configure the pfSense firewall with a VPN (either wireguard or IPSec) that allows me to tunnel into my home network from China and also set up vLANs within the home network. I've done a lot of the set-up work, but it is not working as I want, so I need someone to either fix my efforts or set it up from scratch (probably the latter). I set the price at about 2 hours @£50/hour, but can negotiate.

An expert is required to set up an online network and security using modems and servers ect. Price negotiable depending on the setup equipment required.

My Access Point from Unify Ubiquiti is losing connection. My control4 system is not working because no IP address is signed

Previously my neighbour who has since passed away had set up something called a wireless bridge to get an internet connection from the house into our annexe where I'm living. As an autistic person, I have no internet in the annexe now and this has been the case for 2+years. Hardware is already installed, 2 x Ubiquiti wireless access points and a separate router in the annexe. There used to be a separate network, but this has stopped working now.

I've recently setup a unifi network in my home using a USW Pro 23 POE+ and 6 access points, however it is working but dropping and I am not sure I've set it up correctly

My home network was brilliant for a long time but recently it’s becoming unreliable. Network consists of Virgin media modem, 1gb connection, Leading to switch Leading to multiple unifi ubiquiti access points (I think there are 6-7) and various Ethernet devices The unifi controller was originally set up on a pc that I no longer have access too. Previously had a problem where the modem, the switch and the access points were all trying to be the router, thus assigning and reassigning IP addresses, causing issues until the access points and virgin box were forced to hand over control of the network IPs to the switch. Would be good to get this sorted once and for all, looking for a tech expert who can take this on with experience with unifi products. Ideally on the cloud so we can maintain it without specific access to a PC in the future

I have a cat 5 home network. The router was installed in the cupboard then connected to a splitter. Can the router be moved to better location for wifi and then connected to the splitter physically. Each rooms connection x7 needs checking
