The opening is approximately 3 metres wide. Photos attached show the existing space and proposed wall position marked in purple. Scope of Work: 1. Timber framing: Supply and install timber stud framing from floor to ceiling (approximately 3m wide), including framing for a standard internal bedroom door. 2. Sound insulation: Supply and install acoustic insulation batts within the wall to minimise noise transfer between the bedroom and hallway. 3. Plasterboard: Supply and install plasterboard on both sides of the wall, including taping, joint setting, sanding and finishing ready for painting. 4. Bedroom door: Supply and hang a standard internal hinged door matching the existing bedroom doors, including hinges and door stops. 5. Door jamb and architraves: Supply and install door jamb and architraves matching the existing bedrooms. 6. Door handle: Fit my existing passage-style door handle (supplied by me). No lock required. 7. Skirting boards: Supply and install matching skirting boards on both sides of the new wall. 8. Finishing: Ensure the new wall integrates neatly with the existing ceiling, adjoining walls and flooring. Remove construction waste and leave the area tidy. Looking for someone experienced in plasterboard repairs and insulation removal at my townhouse in Forrest Hill. A dead rodent was removed from the insulation behind a light switch 2 weeks ago and treated with disinfectant from professional, but a persistent odour remains. I need the affected insulation removed and the plasterboard repaired (painting will be done by us). The likely approach is to cut a rectangular section around the affected area, remove the insulation, then refit and patch the plasterboard. The wall studs are approximately 5 cm to the right and 10 cm to the left of the existing opening. Please quote for labour and materials. Hoping someone can help.

Our house has a stumped floor area of approximately 100 sq.m. This has recently been re-stumped. I purchased sufficient Earthwool R2.5 batts from Bunnings plus a box of bendable metal brackets to hold the batts in place. My son volunteered to install them for me and had installed about one-third of the batts when he suffered a shoulder injury doing some work on his own house. So, I need an experienced person to: 1. Check the installed batts and fix where necessary 2. Install the remaining batts. Please note the following: - Access is limited to a single removable manhole in the floor of a spare room. It is 400mm x 450mm - The crawl space reduces towards the back of the house so some agility and experience in similar houses is necessary. - From the ground to the bottom of the bearers is approximately 380mm at the frond of the house, 300mm in the centre and around 240mm at the rear. - From the ground to the bottom of the floor joists is approximately 500mm at the front, 420mm at the centre and around 360mm at the rear. - The spacing between the floor joists is inconsistent. We live in a two storey bedroom town house with two bedrooms. We have approximately 50-60sqm of roof space to have insulation. We want R6 insulation installed.

Install roof insuletion, cavity into roof from downstairs, single story. There is some insulation we had placed there twenty years ago which can be moved and then placed on top. I can buy the insulation. It is single story, some insulation we put in there is there so the new one has to be put in and the old one can be placed on top. I'm not sure of square metres but it is 4 large rooms, a long hallway (which ends in an old bathroom) and a big kitchen, so 5 main spaces, all accessible via the manhole.

I’ve already installed over half the subfloor insulation in my home (134m2) and need someone to complete the job (approx 65m2). The product is a recycled polyester batt (soft, no itch, no PPE needed) that simply tucks up between the joists and staples into the timber, very straightforward once you’ve done a few. The work involves: • Cutting rolls to length (width is pre-sized, length cuts only) • Tucking batts snugly up under the floorboards • Stapling into timber joists to secure Important: There is fragile ducted heating pipework under the house. You’ll need to work carefully around this and not rush. This is the main requirement, someone methodical who won’t damage the ducting. It’s not difficult but it is a little tedious and dirty under there.
