We're looking for a rigger, fabricator or signage installer to put a motorbike with a mannequin rider on the roof of our Newcastle office. It will be a permanent display facing the street. The attached concept image shows the look we want. The building has about 7 storeys and a flat concrete roof with a parapet. The display goes on the front corner, where people on the street and the light rail can see it. The job: - Get the bike and a full-size mannequin onto the roof by crane, hoist or the internal lift and stairs. Tell us which you'd use. - Mount the bike on a frame or base that holds it upright, and fix the mannequin in a riding position. - Secure the display against coastal wind and weather. We'd prefer ballast to drilling into the roof. If you need fixings, seal them so they're watertight. - Leave the roof clean and undamaged. You'll need: - Rooftop and working-at-heights experience - Your own height safety gear and lifting equipment - Public liability insurance (confirm this in your offer) - A mounting frame you can build or source. I can source a roof mount but I will need you to bring anything required to fix to roof securely and then conduit the power cord to the wall which is approximately 4-5m to the powerpoint.
