Guttering / Drainage amendment on new build. We need to construct a better drainage solution at front of house, before the driveway is constructed. Replacing the small triangular seep outlet with a down pipe, that then goes across the front of garage to connect to the down pipes at the side of house. Hi, we need a report only on the drainage conditions in our backyard by a certified plumber/landscaper about what we need to do to make it less likely to flood again. We were thinking an increase in the size of our two drains should suffice but need this in writing. Please see below for the quote. "The rear courtyard floor is only 20‐30mm lower than the rear door. If the courtyard floods, water could not flow away fast enough causing entry to the property through the rear door. The door seems to be of original condition and as a result, could possibly not hold out water once water was raised to its level The drain in the courtyard would be approximately 50mm and would not allow water to escape in extreme circumstances. The grass area is a further 300‐400mm higher than the courtyard. This would also contribute to water entering the courtyard. I would have this looked at by a certified landscaper to determine the additional / more efficient drainage solutions required to prevent this from happing again in the future."
