Looking for someone to finish installing underfloor insulation at my house in Hastings. I’ve already started the job but just haven’t had the time to get back to it. There are approximately 11 boxes left to install, which is around 60 m² in total. All insulation is already supplied, so this is labour only. Access is underneath the house via the subfloor. Looking for someone who is comfortable working underneath a house and preferably has experience installing underfloor insulation. Budget is $400. Please let me know your availability and whether you have done this type of work before.

I am looking for an experienced handyman or carpenter to help finish off the wall around a recently installed door so it looks seamless. The job essentially comes down to two main parts: 1. Move the metal strip in: There is a protruding metal casing piece that just needs to be pushed in or shaved down so it sits flush. 2. Patch and finish the wall: Install a full-height MDF panel to close the gap between the existing wall and the new door frame. You'll just need to pop some insulation into the top cavity, fill the gaps, and tidy up the bottom skirting board so it's all enclosed. Once built out, the new section needs to be primed and painted to seamlessly match the existing wall. I’ve already installed over half the subfloor insulation in my home (134m2) and need someone to complete the job (approx 65m2). The product is a recycled polyester batt (soft, no itch, no PPE needed) that simply tucks up between the joists and staples into the timber, very straightforward once you’ve done a few. The work involves: • Cutting rolls to length (width is pre-sized, length cuts only) • Tucking batts snugly up under the floorboards • Stapling into timber joists to secure Important: There is fragile ducted heating pipework under the house. You’ll need to work carefully around this and not rush. This is the main requirement, someone methodical who won’t damage the ducting. It’s not difficult but it is a little tedious and dirty under there.
