Looking for an experienced handyman/carpenter for two jobs at our house in West Footscray. The house was renovated a few years ago and has experienced some normal movement/settlement since then. 1. INTERNAL DOORS One internal door has moved out of alignment and is now catching/not closing properly. There are also two bedroom doors immediately beside it on the same level. These are not causing the same obvious problem, but I would like all three checked and adjusted where required. Scope: • Inspect all 3 doors, frames, hinges and alignment. • Adjust the main problem door so it opens, closes and latches properly. • Check and adjust the 2 neighbouring bedroom doors where required. • Adjust hinges and striker plates as required. • Plane/trim doors only where necessary. • Keep alterations to the minimum required. • Advise if there are any issues with the frames requiring further work. 2. FRONT TIMBER DECK The front timber deck has nails that are gradually lifting/popping up. I have hammered some back down, but a number continue to work their way back up. I do NOT want every nail replaced but I do want nails re tapped and the main support nails to be replaced with deck screws. Scope: • Inspect the entire deck for loose or raised nails. • Remove problem nails and replace them with suitable exterior decking screws. • Secure any deck boards that have movement. • Ensure screw heads are fitted neatly and flush with the timber. • Supply suitable exterior decking screws and minor materials. GENERAL • Please bring all required tools. • Clean up all dust, timber shavings, old nails and rubbish. • Leave all work areas clean and tidy. • Please include labour and minor materials in your offer. • Please advise your experience with door adjustment and timber decking. • Photos attached.

Repair plaster cracks & repaint affected areas, West Footscray (photos attached of some) We are looking for an experienced plasterer/painter to repair internal plaster cracks and repaint the affected areas at our house in West Footscray. The house was renovated a few years ago. These are the first plaster repairs since the renovation. We deliberately waited a few years for the house to settle and movement cracks to appear before completing the repairs. Photos show the main areas requiring attention. Scope: • Inspect the areas shown and identify any smaller associated cracks nearby. • Properly prepare cracks, including removing loose material where required. • Repair and fill cracks using appropriate plaster repair methods and materials. • Repair internal corners/joints where movement has caused cracking or separation. • Sand repairs smooth. • Apply primer/sealer where required. • Repaint affected wall and ceiling areas so repairs blend neatly with surrounding surfaces. • Protect floors, cabinetry and surrounding areas. • Clean up all plaster dust, sanding residue and rubbish when finished. Paint colour is Dulux White on White. We may have sufficient paint at the property (not sure as may be under stairs). If not, we will reimburse the cost of a 10L tin of Dulux White on White upon receipt. Please supply plaster, filler, primer, sanding materials and other normal repair consumables. We want the cracks properly repaired, not simply filled over. Finished repairs should be smooth and painted to blend with the existing surfaces. Need help with two quick jobs at the same address: disassemble a three-seater IKEA sofa bed and carry the pieces out to the curb for hard rubbish collection, and hang an IKEA A3 office frame that needs to be drilled into the wall (plasterboard). Please bring your own tools — screwdriver set and a drill with wall plugs. Flexible on timing this week or weekend.

Replace front door with new one. I have the door 2040x820, 100mm butt hinges, and handle/lockset. Will require measure and trimming of new door, cutting in hinge mortises, drill lock/handle holes, hang and installation.

Hi, I am preparing my apartment for inspection and need a local plasterer or skilled handyman for a few small repair jobs. Plaster Patches: There are 3 small wall/corner patches and a larger patch in the bottom of a cupboard that need to be cut out, replaced/filled, and sanded back perfectly smooth ready for paint. The plaster has pulled away due to old, resolved moisture (the area is completely dry now, no active leak). Cornice: Need approx 1 metre of cornice installed above the cupboard. I already have a length of cornice on site. You will need to cut to size, bring cornice cement, cut the mitre corners, and install/blend it. Please bring your own plaster, base coats, and tools. I have a danish shelf wall system to attach to a wall. I have metal studs in the wall so need to drill into them to attach 3 x thin wooden rods. The furniture itself doesn’t need to be attached just the wooden rods drilled into the metal studs in a wall so a relatively simple job for a professional.

I need someone to repair my roller blind. The fabric has come off the roller tube and prior to that the winder wasn't working properly (it would unravel). It's a long, wide blind (2-2.5m) I have purchased an Acmeda winder and a booster spring (didn't have one before, but probably needed it) I need someone to remove existing adhesive from roller tube, reattach fabric to tube (you'll need to supply the tape), Assemble the new parts (winder and spring) and rehang the blind. As it's a long, wide blind, I'm happy to help with the rehang if required.

We have just purchased a small unit that has three metal roller shutters, but none of them are working. Two of the shutters are up and won't come down, the third is down but won't come up (see images). They are remote controlled not hard wired. My rangehood continuously beeps after being turned on. The only way of turning the beeping off is to turn the safety switch off to the house for 10minutes. The fans/lights do not turn on, the display just flashes. I would like someone to fix the problem.
