My outdoor heater (will attach pic) won't stay lit even though it has only had a handful of uses. Unfortunately it is out of Warranty as I just didn't end up having people over as much as I had planned to, so the uses have been spread over a long period. It seems wasteful to just buy a new one, and if someone can get this one working for a comparibly lower cost I'd rather avoid this ending up in landfill. Some google results suggest all sorts of potential fixes from cleaning various parts (which I wouldn't know how to identify) to stripping and reattaching wires. Despite having been stored with a cover on it, my heater did accumulate a lot of dust, and although I have cleaned the visible parts (and removed the cage and cleaned inside that before reattatching) I'm hoping the issue might just be the need for a deeper clean, though I'm not confident about taking it apart and putting it back together safely, responsibly and without causing further damage. I am looking for someone who is qualified and knowledgeable to execute a solution since I don't actually know what the problem is, and would appreciate being able to observe and learn how to sort it out myself next time if it is likely to need servicing again. I will set the date forward a bit so that the task doesn't expire in case it takes us a while to set something up, but I prefer this to be done ASAP, today if possible since I happen to not be at work for once.
