We have a roller blind above an doorway that's pulled out of the wall (plasterboard anchors and all) twice now — it's come loose while being operated, which is a safety concern as well as a nuisance. Photos attached showing the damage and the current mounting point. We don't want it simply reattached the same way — we need someone experienced enough to assess why it keeps failing and fix it properly, whether that means adding a timber batten/backing, or using proper load-rated fixings or such. Also would like the existing damaged plaster patched to a paintable finish. The blind is 1800mm wide, and the doorway it sits over is roughly 1760mm (rough measurement, so worth checking on-site). Not sure of the weight. Located in Alexandria, available 8:30am–5:30pm on weekdays. Onsite parking can be arranged provided we know specific time of attendance.

I have five blinds (‘fridans’ from ikea) that need drilling into wooden window frames. The existing blinds also need removing with a drill. We can supply drill and screws if needed. This is a simple task just impossible to do with the kids around as they hate the sound of the drill. I did the first in about 5 mins so wouldn’t imagine this total task would take more than half an hour at most. Would need to be done this week

Looking for someone experienced with roller blind repairs. The beaded pull chain on my roller blind appears to have shifted/misaligned. The small beads on the chain may have moved out of position or slipped in the clutch/gear mechanism, causing the blind to not operate properly. I believe it may need the chain to be realigned/reset in the roller mechanism, or replaced if necessary. Looking for someone who can: * Inspect the roller blind and beaded chain mechanism * Realign/reset the chain and clutch mechanism * Make sure the blind opens and closes smoothly again Please bring suitable tools and any common roller blind chain parts if possible.

I purchased recess fit double roller blinds from DIY blinds but the original airtasker I had do the install ran into an issue with hitting a thick metal lintel in the frame and he wasn't equipped to handle.
