The smooth board has a number of nails facing upwards which holds the carpet in place. The smooth board is nailed to the wooden floorboards at approximately every 10 centimetres and will need to be pulled up. The carpet and smooth board needs to be disposed of. I estimate it would take 1 person 4-5 hours work and then 1hour to remove carpet from house and deliver to tip.
