Install a new pendant light to replace existing

Starting a kitchen renovation. Looking to have electrics in line with new layout. House is double brick, has easy underfloor access. May require chasing of brick. To supply and install.

I have a lamp stand, and a lamp shade that doesn’t fit it. I’m hoping to either make the hole on the lamp shade bigger, or disconnect the cords on the lamp stand so I can feed it through the shade
