We are experiencing random internet dropouts that last about 1-2 minutes on our NBN HFC 500/50 service. The connection disconnects completely and then reconnects on its own after a short period. Sometimes it remains laggy until we restart the modem and then it is fixed for a short period. This instability was also present with our previous ISP (TPG), though it previously showed as ping spikes rather than full disconnections. After changing providers, the issue remains. Dropouts occur at various times of day and across multiple devices, and are not limited to peak usage. We are unable to determine whether the cause is modem-related or line-related, and would like signal levels, line stability, and HFC infrastructure to be checked to identify the root cause.
