The double hung window is currently stuck as the cord has come off the runner. The plate which covers the runner has been painted over so is difficult to remove, but with the right tool is possible. The window cord is in good condition so just needs to be put back on the runner.

I have damage to the frame of a sliding door. The wall surface around the lock mechanism on the door frame is broken and cracked. The area around the latch has crumbled and needs repair to restore the structure and appearance. The lock itself seems intact but is surrounded by the damaged section. I need the following: 1. The attic door is stiff/difficult to open (stairs pull down). I am not sure if it just needs a new hinge or just a bit of lubricant! High ceilings need tall ladder.
