Hello peeps, I’ve got an older style glass sliding door onto the patio and a hakuna pet sliding door insert but having some issues installing it. The problem is 1. that I seem to be unable to adjust the rollers on the sliding door and because the door is a bit tilt it’s gapping between the pet door insert and actual door, don’t know if the rollers on the door need actual fixing, works fine without pet door insert 2. I’m having issues using the temporary installment accessories (without having to drill into the frame to be rental save) see pictures. 3. the lock also doesn’t seem to make the pet insert able to be lockable All in all I need a problem solver that comes up with an idea and make this door fit and minimize the draught that comes through. Hi I need to convert this shed door to be self closing and self latching and also need to install/relocate the door opening handle and lock at a height to be greater than 1.5m above the ground. The self-latching mechanism must not be capable of being locked in the ‘open’ position. The self-closing mechanism needs an appropriate level of tension to enable the door to self-close from all positions, including just ajar. Need to ensure that the bottom of the release device is located at a minimum height of 1500mm above ground level measured on the APPROACH SIDE There might be a few solutions and the exisiting lock can possibly remain in place as I’d still like to be able to lock the door and possibly another latch be installed at the required 1500mm plus height to prevent a child from opening the door. Or the current lock (Lockwood nightlatch style) be relocated to the required height. This shed door actually forms part of a pool barrier system and these works are required to make the barrier system compliant. The current door also rubs the frame a bit whilst closing so we may need to sand back the frame a little to avoid and friction when closing. Need to allow say $150 for the door closer hardware and maybe a new night latch lock
