Need a handyman or somebody with cabinet making experience to help us remove two sets of black lugs as seen in attached pictures. We need to then insert the new hinges that we've purchased so we can rehang this kitchen cupboard door. We have two new Hafele hinges to put in the back of this small kitchen cupboard door. Our problem is that we cannot remove the screwed in bits that are shown in the pictures. I think we need a 9 or 9.5 mm drill bit to drill them out. I've spoken with Hafele this morning and the customer support cabinetmaker at the other end of the phone line suggested that in doing this we just need to be careful we don't drill through the other side of the cupboard door. We have a porch enclosure with an old security door that is curved and two windows with mesh and steel frames. We like them but they have rust on them and we would like you to repair them if it can be done, advise as to how to replace them, as well as a quote. Repair does not have to be perfect. We have purchased a La Luna doggy door which is a vertical dog door that fits into an existing aluminium sliding door system. We also have an accompanying very explanatory step-by-step video from the manufacturer. We will probably stuff it up ourselves so we are just after a confident handyman who is pretty good around these systems. We have some photographs attached and you can see what we are trying to do here. We have all of the screws and parts and the necessaries on hand. We understand that we need to remove the existing locking system off the sliding door and move it to the doggie door part. There needs to be a small amount of drilling into the existing aluminium sliding door framing system.
