Concrete slab above front porch: The concrete slab over the front porch has recently been re-rendered with an acrylic render. This needs to be sealed and waterproofed on the top, bottom and sides. Total area is approximately 10 square metres. Clean any loose material off top of slab. Apply primer. Apply 2 coats of membrane paint to seal and waterproof the render. Apply 2 coats of Dulux Weathershield (or similar) in cream, middle strip on sides is mission brown. Lintels and handrail: There are two lintels above the front porch, one lintel above the rear garage door and a steel or wrought iron handrail on the front porch. Sand surface rust with a wire brush or sandpaper. This may require a power tool (hand drill or angle grinder) with wire wheel/brush attachments. Apply rust converter, such as Killrust Rust-Eeter or similar. Apply rust-inhibiting primer, such as Killrust Heavy Duty Primer or similar. Apply 2 coats of Dulux Weathershield (or similar) in mission brown. Lintel under front bedroom window: There is one galvanised iron lintel under the front bedroom window that has never been painted. Apply metal primer. Apply two coats of Dulux Weathershield (or similar) in mission brown. Guttering: The guttering around the house and the rear of the garage is badly stained Colorbond. There are also four downpipes, but these are generally clean. Clean any moss and loose surface dirt. Apply two coats of Dulux Weathershield (or something else appropriate) in mission brown. Eaves: The eaves around the house and the rear of the garage look like they've never been painted. Clean eaves. Apply two coats of Dulux Weathershield (or similar) in off-white, low-sheen finish. Woodwork: The woodwork at the rear of the house is badly weathered. This includes the vertical wood panelling above the sliding glass doors and window, and other framework. Sand back. Apply wood primer. Apply 2 coats of Dulux Weathershield (or similar) in mission brown.
