It is a low-set post war home with a terra cotta roof - image attached 1 - There has been old termite damage in the roof cavity 2 - It's a hardwood pitched roof 3 - Access through the internal manhole - you will need a 6 foot ladder and perhaps some sheets of narrow plywood to traverse through the roof cavity 5 - Images here for you to refer 6 - Ceiling joists - termite damage where the two ceiling rafters intersect - Fix: Instal two new pieces of hardwood along the spans of the existing ceiling rafters. The length I do not know 7 - Ceiling battens: - roughly 25m of hardwood ceiling battens have been damaged by termites - Fix: pull down the affected ceiling and remove/replace the battens. Instal new gyprock ceiling /cornice/repaint with ceiling white 8 - Wall top plate: - top plate of the wall has been damaged by termites. Roughly 1.5m of damage. Fix: remove the top plate and replace. Try to access via the ceiling space. 9 - Roof rafter: - 1.5m of damage to the roof rafter. Fix: laminate two pieces of hardwood timber either side. 10 - Roof batten; - roof batten shows signs of termite tracking. No major damage from them eating the timber (only in a few minor areas). Fix: remove roof tiles and replace the roof batten. Roughly 6m 11 - Leave the site clean and tidy and take all of the debris to the Nudgee Tip 12 -
