Find an experienced handyman in Blackburn South

I have a metal garden shed door that has come off its hinges and needs to be repaired and rehung. The hinges are still attached to the shed frame, however the rivets/fasteners attaching the hinges to the door have failed. Photos show the current condition. Looking for someone experienced with metal sheds/general handyman work to: * Remove/drill out the remaining broken rivets as required * Reattach the existing hinges to the door * Replace/reinforce fasteners where necessary * Rehang and align the door * Make sure the door opens, closes and latches correctly The door and hinges appear to be in good condition, so I believe this should be a straightforward repair rather than replacement. Please bring the required drill, rivet gun and appropriate rivets/fasteners. Budget: $150 including standard fixings/materials.

I have a Karcher K2 Power Control pressure washer that switches on but doesn’t build pressure and the water comes out as if from the hose. I’ve tried to diagnose the issue myself, there’s no leaks anywhere, and no cracks or broken fittings or split O-Rings. Am thinking it may be an internal pump/valve issue and am wondering if anyone might be able to help or advise?

Hi, I'm after a handyman or carpenter for a small but slightly fiddly repair on an older timber door. The problem: the latch goes into the strike hole but won't hold — when you push the door it pops back open, so it won't stay locked/shut. What I've found: - The metal strike plate on the door frame is old and rusted. - The timber behind it (the pocket the latch drops into) is chewed out / damaged, so the latch has nothing solid to catch on. - One of the strike plate screws is stripped and seized — it won't come out. What I need done: - Remove the old strike plate, including the stuck/stripped screw. - Repair/rebuild the damaged timber in the frame so it's solid again. - Refit the strike plate (or fit a new matching one) and adjust so the latch catches and the door locks properly. It's a small job — roughly 30–60 minutes plus a few dollars of materials. Please bring your own tools; a replacement strike plate and screws may be needed (happy to discuss). I'll attach photos.

A gas column heater once was installed on this wall, and has now been removed. The opening where the gas heater used to be, is now required to be covered up. On either side of the opening, there is timber, so its possible to put a piece of timber in the middle to support the repair area. The opening is 45cm wide and 170cm tall. No need to paint, just need a smooth finish. This job will suit a person with dry wall repair skills, e.g. plasterer.
