Build 22m² Timber Deck (Treated Pine or Merbau) - Pakenham Task Description: Looking for an experienced carpenter or deck builder to construct a residential timber deck in my backyard. Dimensions: 3700mm (depth from house) x 6000mm (width). Total area approx 22.2m². Current Site Conditions: Surface: The area is currently grass/soil. Slope: There is a slight slope away from the house towards the fence line that will require leveling via the subframe. Connection: One side (6000mm) will need to be ledger-mounted to the existing brick wall with appropriate spacers for drainage. Height: The deck will be relatively low-level, matching the height of the sliding door threshold. Scope of Work: Supply and install footings (Stirrups/Concrete or TuffBlocks) to manage the slope. Construct a level subframe using H3 Treated Pine joists. Install weed matting/gravel underneath the frame. Lay decking boards (I am undecided between Treated Pine or Merbau—please quote for both options or specify which one your bid covers). All fixings to be stainless steel screws (pre-drilled if Merbau). Basic picture-frame border or fascia board to hide the subframe on the visible sides. Materials: Please specify in your offer if your quote includes materials or if you want me to source them from the local Bunnings based on your cutting list. I am open to either. Requirements: Must have your own tools and experience with deck leveling on slopes. Please provide photos of previous decking projects in your profile. Cleanup and removal of off-cuts.
