Looking for an experienced carpenter / deck builder helper to work alongside me on a residential deck and stairs project in Mount Waverley VIC 3149. Scope of work: - Demolish and remove old timber deck, stairs, railings and posts (some by hand through a narrow side passage) - Dig and pour concrete footings for new posts - Build new treated pine frame (bearers, joists, stair stringers, landing) - Lay Merbau decking on deck, landing and stair treads (stainless steel screws) - Install black railings and posts - Build a small storage access door under the deck - Sand and oil Merbau, paint posts black - Site clean-up and rubbish removal Two areas: 1. Main deck + stairs (back of house) 2. Side passage stairs (two flights + landing) Duration: approx. 6–8 working days (weather permitting) Requirements: - Proven decking/carpentry experience (please share photos of past work) - Own basic hand and power tools - Reliable, punctual and able to do physical work - ABN and White Card preferred Materials supplied.
