Hi there, I need an experienced professional to completely restore my outdoor timber deck and a small set of stairs. I want to keep the natural, raw light blonde look of the timber and completely avoid any dark golden or orange tones. Project Details:Size: 5m x 5m deck (approx. 25 sqm) plus 1 small set of 3 steps. Timber Type: Spotted Gum hardwood. Current Condition: The deck is currently dirty, weathered Scope of Work Required: Prep & Clean: Apply a dedicated timber cleaning agent (e.g., Intergrain UltraPrep/Cabot's Deck Clean) and thoroughly scrub the deck to remove dirt, graying, and tannin buildup. Nail/Screw Punching: Inspect the entire deck and punch all raised nails/screws at least 2mm below the surface so they do not tear sanding pads. Sanding: Sand the main deck back to fresh bare wood using an orbital floor sander. Detail sand the edges and the 3 steps. Important: Sanding must stop at 80-grit to ensure the dense Spotted Gum pores remain open to absorb the oil. Coating: Thoroughly stir and apply 2 coats of a non-orange, blonde-tinted penetrating timber oil (such as Cutek Extreme CD50 with a White Wash tint pack, or a pre-tinted light oak option). What you need to provide:You must bring all your own trade equipment, including a commercial floor sanding machine (orbital sander preferred over a aggressive drum sander), hand/detail sanders, extension leads, a stiff deck scrubbing broom, and high-quality lambswool/microfiber oil applicators. You will supply all the necessary consumables, including the deck cleaning chemical, the 80-grit sandpaper discs, and the 4L/5L tin of specialized blonde timber oil. Please share examples of your previous timber decking or sanding work when bidding. If i like how you work I will then also need sanding of my backyard deck much bigger job. Thank you!

We’re looking for a handyman to help fill in the small gaps under the skirting boards where needed throughout our house. We also need a larger gap above an internal door frame filled in. Hoping the same person can help repair the closing mechanism on an external screen door, either remove or fix the mesh coming out of another external screen door and fix an internal door handle.

Small patch of carpet maybe 40x40cm damaged from being under a leaking plant pot - needs to be cut out and 'patched' (we have a spare roll of the carpet). Doesn't have to be an incredible job as the carpet will eventually be fully replaced, and also the carpet is over 6+ years old vs the spare roll, so the colour will not match and that is fine! In North Bondi, needs to be done ideally in the next few days.

I'm hosting an event on Sat evening. I wish to move furniture from my living room downstairs to my garage. Then lay carpet tiles on living room floor (I already have the carpet tiles) and assemble a dancefloor (I have this as well). Not a large area - about 40 sqm. At least a two-person job. Do not apply for the job if you are not a two-person team (or more). Probably suite removalist type work.

I’d need help with polishing a 280 x 35 cm area of my wooden floor to match with the rest of the floor (per picture).

Seeking cost effective trustworthy carpenter to screw some squeaky floorboards into joists. See photos, i have pulled up the carpet and underlay in one room, and shall have the second room ready by the time of job. Sunroom is 2x3 metres and has one squeaky board. Main bedroom is 3x5 metres with multiple squeaky boards. Someone successfully fixed the squeaky boards in the living room last year with drill and screws, so I’m hoping same technique works in the other two rooms.
