Find an experienced floor repair pro in Elwood

Looking for an experienced handyman or decking specialist to carefully lift a few sections of timber decking on an upstairs balcony to allow our roofing tradesperson access to clean out the gutters and repair a ceiling leak underneath. Scope of work: • Carefully remove the required decking boards (probably about 15-25 slats.) minimising damage wherever possible. • Boards are currently nailed down, so experience removing nailed timber decking is essential. • Allow time for our roofer to access the area and complete the waterproofing repair. • Reinstall and securely fix the original decking boards on the same day once repairs are complete. We understand some minor damage to the timber may be unavoidable, but would like this kept to a minimum, ideally limited to cosmetic damage that can be remedied with sanding and repainting. Important: This job will need to be coordinated with our roofer, so flexibility to work around their repair on the same day is essential. Please only apply if you have experience lifting and reinstating existing timber decking without causing unnecessary damage.

Two floorboards are damaged and need replaced. The replacement boards don't need to perfectly match (this is coming ahead of a later renovation), but a close stain would be great.

Not sure if this can be fixed but we have some light scratches in our floor which we only JUST had fully sanded back and fixed. Anything that can be done for these scratches that won’t look patchy?

I’m looking for an experienced flooring or handyman professional to repair a scratch in the floorboards in one bedroom. The room is approximately 4.0 x 3.9 metres, however the damage is fairly localised to one area (see photos). The scratch is moderate in size but not spread across the whole room. Floor appears to be timber or timber-look flooring. I’m hoping for a neat, professional repair that blends in as much as possible with the existing floor. This could involve filling, sanding, colour matching and sealing, or another suitable method based on your experience. Ideally looking for someone who has done similar repairs before. We have a hardwood floor which is nailed to an underfloor system made up of f5 pine 70×35 studs, fixed to concrete slab. We have around 5 points on the floor where the boards are squeaking and we need them repaired so the squeak is gone. We will only hire someone who has experience with this specific work before.
