I need a qualified cabinet maker or carpenter to modify the white overhead melamine cabinet above my fridge space to gain approx 6cm of extra vertical clearance. Current opening height: 179cm Required opening height: Approx 185cm The cabinet has pre-drilled internal row holes (see attached photos), so shifting the shelf and internal hardware should hopefully be straightforward. I am open to your professional advice on whether it is best to trim the doors from the top or the bottom to get the cleanest look with the existing hinges and handles. Requirements: - Looking for a factory-clean finish on the melamine with no visible chipping. - Must be experienced with kitchen joinery modifications and have the appropriate precision cutting tools (like a track saw). - Please include matching white edge-banding to seal any newly cut raw edges. One of the four soft-close hinges on a tall kitchen cabinet door has come away from the door. The hinge cup and screws have pulled out and the hole in the door edge is chipped/stripped, so it won't just screw back in. Looking for someone to repair the hole properly (dowel and glue, timber filler, or whatever you'd recommend) and refit the hinge so the door hangs and closes correctly. Door is currently hanging on the remaining three hinges. What's involved: Repair/re-anchor the stripped 35mm hinge cup hole in the door Refit the existing hinge (Blum-style clip-on soft close — I still have it and the screws) Realign the door so it sits flush with the others and closes cleanly Quick check of the other three hinges on this door while you're here Please bring your own tools and any filler/dowel/glue needed.
