I have an electric fireplace that doesn't need to be recessed into the wall. I plan to attach matching plywood pieces to bridge the gap between the fireplace and the wall.I will source the material from Bunnings. All I want is the fireplace to look a part of the wall.

The back and bottom are ok. Opening to the Enclosed Dog Bed Furniture: Aim is to make it as enclosed as possible for my dogs to keep warm when the heater is off. - There are two Circular openings (30cm) on each piece of furniture. One is in the front (9cm from the side & bottom), and the other is in the side closer to the front opening. One kennel has it on R) side, other on L) side - to be joined together)* the side openings must be identical as the two kennels meet, so my dogs can walk through the structure. - The inner side of the opening will need routed edges. I am open to suggestions. Rough designs are attached.
