Hello, We are looking for a skilled handyman, joiner, or cabinet maker to repair a broken cabinet door at our retail store, in Bendigo Marketplace. The Issue: A concealed hinge has been completely ripped out of the cupboard door behind our counter, leaving a damaged hole where the hinge cup was seated. The door is now hanging on by only one hinge, which is under strain and at risk of failing completely. The Job: The task is to repair the door and securely re-attach the hinge. The scope of work includes: 1. Assessing the damage to the door where the hinge cup has been pulled out. 2. Performing a durable repair to the door. This will likely involve filling the oversized hole with wood filler/epoxy, allowing it to set, and then re-drilling the hinge cup hole. 3. Securely re-installing the original hinge into the newly repaired hole. 4. Re-hanging the door and adjusting both hinges to ensure it is properly aligned, hangs straight, and closes smoothly. 5. As a preventative measure, please also check and tighten the hinges on the adjacent cabinet doors. I’m renovating my weatherboard house. I’m moving the front door, adding a fixed window to the kitchen (1200x600) and changing an existing window to a sliding glass door. The plan denotes a stacker door, but I’m having a standard sliding instead. I need a quote to have the 3 cut out, framed and installed, with the existing front door filled in and the external boards put on. I’ve marked in red the door that needs to be filled and in yellow where the new and window and doors will be.
