I am looking for a handyman/carpenter to repair or replace a damaged section of skirting board (baseboard) in my rental property in Geelong. The damaged corner is approximately 10–15 cm long and appears to be MDF skirting. I would like the repair to match the existing skirting as closely as possible, including filling, sanding, replacing if necessary, and repainting in white. I have a few things that need to be done around our new place after just moving in and having new flooring installed. They include: - Installing about 20 lm of MDF skirting. I'll paint etc myself. There's a few corners (15-20) around the kitchen but they're all right angles. - Plane down three doors that are sticking. - Fixing some shelves to the wall.. They sit on a kicker so it's only to anchor them. - Cutting a few bits and pieces for me including a piece of ply to sit under my shelves, a few melamine shelves and some cork off cuts. Basically I have a few other projects to do once you leave but I don't have a saw! - Installing a piece of timber trim where our new flooring meets our door. I have all the materials.

The residue is from expansion foam/adhesive products used during flooring preparation. The skirtings are painted white and care must be taken not to damage the paint where possible. Need to purchase and hang appropriate skirting board for a section of wall that was repaired. Approximately 2 - 3 meter (tiny job). Original skirting board is tile/concrete so just looking for a matched profile in timber. Ideally primed and painted to match/white. Wall is approximately 25mm of thick plaster on brick.

Door handles to be swapped from previous door. If possible putty to also be applied to the small part of damaged door frame (I don’t have any putty you would need to bring). Please have insurance.

I have timber rot in the lower section of an external ground floor door frame (bottom of the jamb on one side). The timber is soft and needs to be properly cut out and repaired or replaced. There is also a section of internal skirting board nearby that needs replacing to match the existing profile. Scope: - Cut out and replace rotten section of door jamb - Replace damaged internal skirting board (ideally is but doesn’t need to be a perfect match) - Leave ready for painting The door opens onto a brick-paved courtyard. There may be moisture contributing to the damage, so I’m looking for someone experienced who can advise on the correct long-term fix. This is an older solid brick home in Melbourne.
