I have a brand-new Haier 8.5kg 300 Series Front Load Washing Machine (Model: HWF85KW1) that was delivered today, but the delivery/install team couldn’t complete the installation because my existing laundry plumbing requires a few new fittings. (Haier Australia⁠) The installer advised I require: * New filter/inlet hose (filter pipe) * New water supply connector * New drainage connector/adaptor to connect the washing machine drain hose to the existing waste pipe The existing water supply and drain pipe are already in place. The job is to supply any required standard fittings, connect the washing machine, and ensure everything is working correctly with no leaks. Please: * Supply and install any required connectors/fittings * Connect the washing machine * Test the machine fills and drains correctly I’ve attached photos of the existing plumbing setup. My current setup is shown in the photos: I have a freestanding gas cooktop and an electric oven. I'm not sure whether my existing range hood is ducted or recirculating. I asked ChatGPT based on the photos, and it suggested that it might be a recirculating model. However, I also noticed a small vent on the outside wall that seems to line up with the cooktop area, so now I'm not sure. I'd really appreciate any advice from anyone who's done a similar upgrade: 1. Should I buy a ducted range hood or a recirculating one? 2. Do I need to hire two separate tradespeople—an electrician to check/install the high-power circuit for the induction cooktop, and a licensed gas fitter to disconnect and cap off the gas line?
