Dig up and move approx 1m x 5m of turf from one part of lawn to another. Shovels, strimmer, mower, barrow, if needed, already here. Just the turf in the red triangle in the photo needs lifted and moved to the bare area on left. we have an artificial turf in our garden, laid about 10 years back. The ground has now become uneven at places and needs levelling. the artificial turf will need to be rolled to allow ground level and the the turf can be rolled back in place and nailed down.

I’m looking for someone experienced with artificial grass sub-base preparation to repair the base underneath my existing artificial grass. The area is roughly 7 metres by 5 metres and is a single-laid section of artificial grass. The grass was laid during lockdown on a base I created myself. Over time, parts of the base appear to have washed away or dropped, possibly because of the slope of the garden, so the surface is no longer as level or stable as it should be. To keep the job simpler and cheaper, I’m happy to lift and roll back the existing grass myself before the work starts. I’m also happy to refit the grass afterwards if needed. What I need is someone to deal with the base properly. I’m looking for someone who can assess the existing base, advise what needs doing, repair/rebuild the uneven or washed-out areas, compact and level it properly, and make sure drainage is considered so the same problem does not just come back. I’m not looking for a full new artificial grass installation unless that turns out to be absolutely necessary. The main job is the base underneath. I’m happy to provide materials if the right person can advise exactly what is needed.
