recently had a gas hob fitted into my flat, but the connection was not done very well and there is a small leak. About 2-3 feet of the gas feed pipe needs to be replaced and then the gas connection to the actual hob refitted. I have an 20 year old AEG Hot Plate hob, which is pretty much awful and I am thinking of replacing it. However all the dimensions of new ones seem to be 1cm more. I just wondered if this is something that can be done? No rush just wondering before I order a new hob. Pics include existing dimensions vs new ones, and image of setup. The Hob has its own Power Switch/Circuit etc
